Advanced Treatment of Fluorine-Containing Wastewater and Fluorine-Containing Material Solution-Resin Adsorption

With the continuous development of chemical technology, pyridine has become one of the most widely developed varieties of heterocyclic compounds. As an important fine chemical raw material, its derivatives mainly include 2-methylpyridine, 3-methylpyridine, 4-methylpyridine, chloropyridine, etc. It is mainly used in the fields of pesticides, pharmaceuticals, dyes, daily chemical industry, spices, feed additives, rubber additives, etc.

Adsorption method is a method of treating wastewater containing fluorine by passing it through a device equipped with an adsorbent, where fluorine exchanges with other ions or groups in the adsorbent and remains inside the adsorbent. Adsorbents achieve economic recycling by regenerating and restoring their exchange capacity.

Our company has developed a special new type of resin based on the properties and treatment requirements of fluorine-containing wastewater, which has the advantages of fast adsorption speed, high capacity, and easy regeneration. It can achieve deep defluorination of large amounts of wastewater and provide guarantee for the reuse of water resources.

This technology has a large material adsorption capacity, low operating costs, easy regeneration, and long service life; The equipment has technical advantages such as low operating costs, low maintenance costs, and simple operation, and is widely used for defluorination of wastewater generated in chemical product production, battery production, metallurgical industry, phosphate fertilizer and fluoroplastic production, coal-fired power generation, and other processes.

Engineering case

A chemical enterprise in Shandong Province specializes in the production of pyridine, 2-methylpyridine, 3-methylpyridine, 3,5-dimethylpyridine, and 2,3-dimethylpyridine, with an annual production capacity of up to 14400 tons. However, the fluorine-containing biochemical wastewater generated during the production process reaches 400 tons/day, which is difficult to deeply treat. Jiangsu Haipu Company was commissioned to adsorb and treat it to meet the standards before discharging it. The system operates stably, and the wastewater treatment data is shown in Table 2.

Conclusion

Although using precipitation and adsorption methods as basic treatment units to treat certain fluorine-containing wastewater can achieve certain treatment effects. However, up to now, fluoride containing wastewater is still one of the industrial wastewater that is difficult to treat. It is necessary to consider not only the progressiveness of treatment technology, but also the feasibility of infrastructure investment and operating costs. Therefore, the treatment technology for fluorine-containing wastewater is mainly focused on the following four aspects: efficiency, adaptability, economy, and cleanliness.
