HP293——Iodine Removal Resin

Iodine removal adsorbent HP293 is a kind of polymer adsorbent material with high selective adsorption performance for iodide. It is suitable for iodine removal from brine in the production process of ionic membrane caustic soda, and deiodination of acetic acid by methanol hydroxyl method. It is applied in many domestic ion membrane caustic soda production enterprises with  remarkable effect. The recovery of iodine was achieved while effectively removing iodine. It’s not only solved the problem of production electrical efficiency, but also created economic benefits.

Ion exchange method is based on the differences in forces such as electrostatic force or van der Waals forces, and utilizes the functional groups of anion exchange materials to adsorb and enrich free halogen elements in the form of polyhalogen compound anions.

It is characterized by good deiodination effect, good temperature resistance and high mechanical strength.


Application effects

It can be used to remove iodine ions from brine solution, reducing iodine in the feed solution from about 10mg/L to 0.1mg/L below, thus purifying the brine.
