Highly selective phosphorus removal adsorbent HP5600 is a porous polymer. It utilizes Donna membrane effect to make the surface groups of polymer material pre-enrich phosphate ions, and then remove phosphate ions through the special phosphorus removal groups inside the polymer. Therefore, HP5600 is characterized by selective adsorption and high adsorption precision for phosphate ions.
1. Special high-efficiency adsorbent composition:
The matrix is “polyvinylpyridine” and the adsorbent surface is modified with coordination exchange functional groups "- R (OH) n
2. Phosphorus removal mechanism:
- R(OH)n + n PO3- - RPO3n + n(OH)-
The surface of the adsorbent is electrically neutral and the mechanism is ligand exchange, not ion exchange.
The principle of ion exchange is as follows:
Ligand exchange is more effective compared to ion exchange and has a greater capacity for phosphate exchange.
3. Reasons for pH drop in the effluent after adsorption:
After regeneration, the special adsorption material needs to be washed and activated by acid to adjust the pH of the material to 2-3. Therefore, when the influent for adsorption is neutral, the pH of the adsorption water will decrease due to the acidic environment inside the material (the pH of the effluent may be 3-4).
