HP686 is a weakly basic chelating resin designed for highly selective adsorption of metals such as copper (Cu) and nickel (Ni), which features a uniformly cross-linked polymer matrix (both internally and externally), offering excellent adsorption kinetics, high adsorption capacity, and superior mechanical strength.

Even in acidic feed solutions with pH≈2, HP686 demonstrates highly efficient removal of heavy metals. Its adsorption selectivity for metal ions follows the order:
Cu²⁺ >> Ni²⁺ > UO₂²⁺ > Fe³⁺ > Zn²⁺ > Co²⁺ > Cd²⁺ > Fe²⁺ > Mn²⁺
• Purification of nickel electrolyte anolyte in chloride salt systems or chloride-sulfate mixed systems for copper removal.
• Recovery of nickel (Ni) and copper (Cu) and solution purification in processes such as lithium battery cathode material production and lithium battery recycling.
• Effective copper ion (Cu²⁺) adsorption under highly acidic conditions (pH < 2).
• Nickel ion (Ni²⁺) removal from cobalt electrolytes for electrolyte purification.
• Selective adsorption of heavy metal ions (e.g., Ni²⁺, Cu²⁺) from solutions containing strong chelating agents (e.g., EDTA).
• Purification of chromium (III) baths by removing copper and nickel ions.
