Benzene waste gases include benzene, toluene, and xylene, collectively known as the "three benzenes." These compounds are widely used in chemical raw materials and various manufacturing industries. However, they are all toxic organic compounds. The primary health impact of benzene waste gases is on the central nervous system, causing abnormal excitement or inhibition of the nerves. However, this method requires the cultivation of microorganisms, which demands a large amount of nutrients and a certain amount of oxygen. Therefore, this method has high operational requirements and is not very convenient to use. The absorption method uses a liquid absorbent to wash and absorb the harmful components of benzene waste gases in the absorption device, achieving the effect of purifying the waste gas. This treatment method involves low investment costs and is relatively inexpensive, making it suitable for widespread use in small and medium-sized enterprises.
