Sulfuric acid is widely used in industries such as chemical and steel. In many production processes, the utilization rate of sulfuric acid is very low, and a large amount of sulfuric acid is discharged with wastewater. If these wastewater are discharged into the environment without treatment, it will not only acidify the water or soil, causing harm to the ecological environment, but also result in resource waste. According to the differences in waste acid, wastewater composition, and treatment goals, the recycling methods currently used at home and abroad can be roughly divided into concentration method, oxidation method, and extraction method. The first two need to be carried out at high temperatures, generally between 200-330 ℃, with high energy consumption. The extraction method requires high extraction agents, and the technical requirements for the entire extraction process are also high.
Our company has developed special adsorbents and application processes for this type of sulfuric acid wastewater, achieving a removal rate of over 95% for organic matter in the wastewater and successfully purifying sulfuric acid. The processing can be carried out at room temperature, with low energy consumption, simple operation, automatic control, and low operating costs.
The wastewater generated by a chemical plant in Jiangsu contains 20-25% sulfuric acid and a COD of 6000-9000mg/L. After our company's adsorption treatment, the COD is reduced to below 500mg/L. The effluent sulfuric acid is concentrated and reused in production.
