Successful Installation and Commissioning of a Pharmaceutical Wastewater Treatment Project in Jiangxi

The pharmaceutical wastewater treatment project in Jiangxi, undertaken by our company, successfully completed the installation work at the beginning of this month and has now entered the stages of clean water simulation testing and actual wastewater commissioning. This wastewater contains a large amount of sulfonic acid amphoteric organic compounds, has a high total nitrogen content, and a salt content of nearly 20%, making the treatment process more challenging. Sulfonic acid amphoteric organic compounds are important pharmaceutical intermediates, and discharging them without recovery and treatment can cause severe environmental pollution and result in resource loss and waste.


The engineering treatment methods for this type of wastewater focus on biological methods and physicochemical methods (oxidation, evaporation crystallization, and resin adsorption). Among these, the resin adsorption method has significant advantages in treating wastewater with high concentration, complex composition, deep color, high toxicity, and difficulty in degradation. After testing and analyzing the characteristics of this water sample, our team developed a special adsorption resin and supporting process, which fully met the client's requirements during the pilot stage, achieving a decolorization rate of 99% and a COD removal rate of over 98%. Currently, this wastewater treatment project has successfully entered the commissioning stage.
