Treatment and Resource Utilization of Organic Waste Gas

In the process of chemical production, highly volatile solvents such as halogenated hydrocarbons, benzene derivatives, esters, ketones, etc. are often used, and the resulting volatile organic compounds (VOCs) directly pollute the atmospheric environment and pose a threat to human health. For the treatment of such organic waste gas, it can be divided into thermal destruction method, biological method, and adsorption method. Thermal destruction method, also known as thermal combustion method, achieves complete combustion of organic waste gas at high temperatures and is completely decomposed into carbon dioxide and water. Although the improved catalytic combustion method can lower the combustion temperature, the catalyst is prone to poisoning, and neither can achieve resource recovery. Biological methods have no secondary pollution and low energy consumption, but they also cannot achieve resource recovery. Adsorption method has high removal rate of exhaust gas, mature process, easy promotion, and good environmental and economic benefits, especially for renewable adsorption materials, which can achieve the recovery of valuable substances.


Our company tries to use adsorption regeneration recovery process for organic waste gas that can be recycled, and adsorption concentration combustion process for non recyclable organic waste gas. Based on the characteristics of these organic waste gases, we have developed a series of special adsorption materials and application processes, which can effectively treat and recover various VOCs.
