Introduction to New Methods for Treating Zinc Nickel Wastewater

A new method for treating zinc nickel wastewater, which replaces the original process of breaking the network and precipitating zinc nickel alloy wastewater, can meet the national Table 3 standard, reduce the nickel concentration to below 0.1ppm, and meet the requirements of the New Environmental Protection Law. The process is simple.

Tools/raw materials for zinc nickel wastewater treatment

Polyaluminum chloride PAC

Anionic Polyvinylamide PAM

concentrated sulfuric acid

Beakers, burettes, flasks, funnels, filter paper and other experimental equipment

Zinc nickel alloy wastewater treatment agent M2

Steps for treating zinc nickel wastewater

(1) Take 200mL of zinc nickel alloy wastewater;

(2) Adjust the pH of the wastewater to 2-3, add zinc nickel alloy wastewater treatment agent M2, and react for 30 minutes. At this point, a light yellow precipitate appears;

(3) Add polyaluminum chloride to the wastewater, react for 10 minutes, and adjust the pH of the wastewater to around 6;

(4) Add anionic polyvinylamide to the wastewater, stir slowly for 2 minutes, and filter using filter paper;

(5) The effluent is clear, and the nickel content is measured to reach 0.1ppm.

Precautions for Zinc Nickel Wastewater Treatment

All drugs dissolve moderately in the solution

Ensure sufficient reaction time, and react the zinc nickel alloy wastewater treatment agent within 15-30 minutes.
