The treatment of electroplating wastewater in the electroplating centralized control park is one of the most difficult processes in various industries in China, even in the electroplating wastewater treatment industry. The fundamental reason is that the characteristic pollutants and related pollutant indicators in the electroplating wastewater treatment in the park are relatively complex, with high pollutant concentrations and harmful substance content. Therefore, the problem of electroplating wastewater treatment needs to be solved according to the actual situation.
The main sources of electroplating wastewater treatment in the electroplating centralized control park include the following methods:
(1) Pre treated oily wastewater comes from various oil substances coated on the surfaces of metal plating parts, automotive parts plating parts, plumbing plating parts, iron parts, etc. Pre treated oily wastewater accounts for about 30% of electroplating wastewater;
(2) Plating cleaning wastewater, including copper containing wastewater, nickel containing wastewater, chromium containing wastewater, zinc containing wastewater, cyanide containing wastewater, pyrophosphate wastewater, etc;
(3) Waste plating solution, also known as electroplating tank solution, is mainly composed of some liquids with high impurities that precipitate at the bottom of the plating tank, as well as inevitable infiltration between the filtering machinery and water pump, which can also cause the production of waste plating solution. Waste plating solution will constitute electroplating wastewater.
The adsorption process flow of electroplating wastewater treatment is shown in the following figure.

The treatment of electroplating wastewater cannot be directly achieved through methods such as chemical precipitation and electrolysis to meet discharge requirements. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out deep treatment of electroplating wastewater, adsorption technology, and end control of electroplating wastewater treatment, strictly controlling the ion concentration of the effluent, providing an effective solution for the standard treatment of electroplating wastewater.
When using adsorption technology to treat electroplating wastewater, the wastewater is pre filtered to remove suspended and particulate matter, and then enters the adsorption tower for adsorption. The special adsorption materials filled in the adsorption tower can adsorb heavy metals such as nickel, chromium, and zinc in the wastewater on the surface of the materials, ensuring that the heavy metals in the effluent continue to meet the discharge standards. After adsorption saturation, specific desorption agents are used to desorb the adsorbent material, allowing it to regenerate, and this process is continuously repeated.
