Environmental pollution caused by benzene waste gas is a negative impact on environmental quality caused by human activities. Benzene waste gas is generated by the petroleum processing, shoemaking, and spray painting industries. Due to the malignant pollution event of triphenyl in China in 1996, the country has paid attention to it and formulated some laws and regulations to reduce the generation of waste gas.
Benzene, toluene, and other substances are colorless liquids with strong volatility, producing benzene based waste gas. Inhaling waste gas through respiration can cause liver damage and nervous system damage. Toluene has a paralyzing effect, causing chronic poisoning and seriously endangering people's physical and mental health. If the toxicity of triphenyl is severe, it can lead to the death of humans and animals, making it a hazardous gas.
At present, the national treatment methods for benzene waste gas include the simplest combustion method, adsorption method, and microbial purification method. Direct combustion is suitable for high content benzene waste gas, which requires less economy. When conditions permit, it can also recover some of the heat for other purposes. However, the combustion method needs to consider some conditions: a sufficiently high combustion temperature and a relatively high oxygen content.
Adsorption method, due to its simple adsorption of solvents, can cause secondary pollution and is not a completely effective treatment method. The solvent absorption method is relatively easy and cost-effective for treating high air volume and ambient temperature benzene containing waste gas. This method is widely used in industry, and the purification rate of triphenyl can reach 93%. Saturated diesel can be used as fuel for oil furnaces.
Benzene containing organic waste gas is a serious gas that pollutes the atmosphere. It needs to be strictly measured, its emission must be strictly controlled, and technology must be proficiently used to treat it. The treatment of exhaust gas still requires a lot of scientific research and management to contribute to human health.
