On June 18, the three-day 24th World Pharmaceutical Ingredients China Exhibition (CPHI China 2026) came to an end at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. Jiangsu Haipu Functional Materials Co., Ltd. and its wholly-owned subsidiary Suzhou Bona Biomedical Technology Co., Ltd. appeared at booth W9C19, displaying a product matrix covering peptide solid-phase synthesis carriers, immobilized enzyme carriers, separation and purification fillers, and supporting system devices.

Throughout the exhibition, the Haipu & Bona booth (W9C19) attracted a steady stream of professional visitors from both domestic and international markets. The company showcased its comprehensive range of separation and purification materials and integrated equipment systems—covering the entire workflow from laboratory-scale R&D and pilot-scale scale-up to industrial mass production—thereby vividly demonstrating its one-stop supply capabilities encompassing materials, processes, and equipment. Many industry clients visited specifically to discuss their own production line projects and process optimization needs, engaging in in-depth, face-to-face consultations with Bona’s technical and sales teams. These interactions included aligning sample solutions, conducting preliminary process assessments, and discussing product delivery timelines and technical support details, resulting in multiple clients expressing an intent to pursue further in-depth follow-up discussions.

These in-depth discussions centered entirely on the client's actual production scenarios. Beyond product specifications, the client prioritized the material's real-world performance in large-scale production, stability during process scale-up, and the control of overall costs related to consumables and operations. The two parties engaged in pragmatic, actionable discussions regarding industrialization pain points across three core product lines. Regarding solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) supports—the fundamental reaction platform for peptide drug development and manufacturing—the client focused on critical issues such as synthesis purity for long-chain peptides, control of side reactions, and batch-to-batch stability. Haipu’s SPPS supports have earned widespread recognition for their uniform substitution levels, excellent swelling properties, and mature synthesis processes, particularly for high-demand categories such as GLP-1 peptide drugs, cosmetic peptides, and antimicrobial peptides.

Addressing applications such as fermentation broth purification, high-purity peptide preparation, and the separation of biological macromolecules, customers engaged in in-depth discussions regarding impurity removal efficiency, dynamic binding capacity, caustic stability (CIP lifespan), and process scalability. The comprehensive product portfolio—including HC18 series reversed-phase chromatography media, HCIC series ion-exchange media, and dextran gels—meets requirements across the entire scale spectrum, from laboratory-scale trials to industrial mass production, offering diverse solutions for various purification scenarios.

Designed for clients in the natural products sector, the HPT series of specialized resins from Haipu supports the extraction of active ingredients such as alkaloids, saponins, flavonoids, and natural pigments, catering to diverse applications ranging from natural sweeteners to aminoglycosides. Additionally, the series offers targeted solutions for ginkgolic acid removal as well as the elimination of pesticide residues and heavy metals, thereby facilitating the high-quality development of natural products.

CPHI China 2026 provided a centralized platform for interaction across the entire industry chain. During the event, Suzhou Bona Biopharma engaged in face-to-face technical discussions and business matchmaking with domestic and international clients. The company gathered firsthand insights into application requirements across multiple sectors—such as peptide synthesis, fermentation and purification, and plant extraction—while simultaneously exchanging views on cutting-edge developments and practical production solutions in biopharmaceutical synthesis and purification.
Moving forward, Bona Biopharma remains committed to the field of functional separation materials. By leveraging material innovation to continuously refine its supporting processes and integrated equipment solutions, the company aims to help pharmaceutical clients across various sectors reduce costs, improve quality, and boost efficiency, while joining hands with industry partners to drive high-quality industry development.
