After multiple comparisons and inspections, Haipu’s technology was selected. After treatment with Haipu’s special adsorption process, the toluene content was reduced from 3000 mg/m³ to 5 mg/m³.
Approximately 50 tons of toluene are recovered annually, with significant and stable results.
Subsequently, nearly 20 other VOCs treatment systems of the enterprise will gradually adopt Haipu’s special adsorption technology to replace the original activated carbon fiber technology.
Heavy metals in the wastewater exist in a complexed form. After treatment with physical and chemical methods such as complex breaking and precipitation, the nickel content is 0.8-2.0 mg/L, requiring deep treatment to ensure compliant discharge.
After treatment with Haipu’s special heavy metal adsorbent, the effluent meets the nickel content standard of ≤0.1 mg/L, complying with national discharge standards.
The pyridine content in the wastewater was reduced from 12000 mg/L to below 10 mg/L, ensuring stable compliance of subsequent biochemical treatment and supporting the sustainable development of the enterprise.
The second phase 300t/d pyridine wastewater treatment system of the enterprise has been completed and is operating normally.
Additionally, similar projects for chloropyridine, cyanopyridine, etc., have established nearly ten demonstration applications in the top three pyridine manufacturers domestically and internationally.
After treatment with Haipu’s special adsorption process, COD was reduced from 19000 mg/L to 300 mg/L, ensuring the subsequent MVR evaporation desalination process.
Ortho-aminobenzoic acid was reduced from 5000 mg/L to undetectable levels, with a recovery purity of 97.5%.
This not only solved the high-COD wastewater treatment challenge but also achieved the recovery of valuable resources.
Using Haipu’s special heavy metal adsorbent (removing copper, nickel, zinc, cobalt, arsenic, lead, etc.), it effectively achieves efficient and low-consumption treatment of heavy metal-containing waste acid, while also realizing the recycling of heavy metals and inorganic acids. This is a green and sustainable solution for waste acid.
The construction of such projects not only established the company’s leading position in the waste acid industry but also broadened new ideas for waste acid (including hazardous waste acid) treatment, achieving effective treatment and resource recycling of waste acid.
The salt lakes in Qinghai have low grades and contain a large amount of magnesium salts, with magnesium-lithium ratios ranging from tens to thousands, making lithium extraction challenging. Existing processes generally have high production costs.
Currently, the production and industrial application of a ten-ton-level new lithium extraction adsorbent have been completed, and a 100t/d brine lithium extraction pilot plant has been established on-site at a salt lake in Qinghai, with stable operation for 2.5 years.
Using Haipu’s special lithium ion-imprinted adsorbent, lithium ions in the salt lake brine can be efficiently adsorbed and desorbed with water. After treatment, the magnesium-lithium ratio can be reduced to about 1:1, ensuring subsequent deep magnesium removal and the production of battery-grade lithium carbonate.
