HPB119 is a polystyrene-based polymer with a macroporous structure whose backbone is modified with special groups capable of selectively coordinating boron ions. It should be noted that the coordination activity of HPB119 has a significant dependence on pH, and it can only be effectively coordinated in neutral to alkaline environments; under acidic conditions, its coordination ability is inhibited.
